The U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005 extended Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the U.S. As a result, beginning in 2007, DST will start three weeks earlier on March 11, 2007, and end one week later on November 4, 2007, resulting in a new DST period that is four weeks longer than previously observed. Complete the following steps in order to resolve appointment and meeting inconsistincies in Outlook caused by the DST changes.
(1) Open a web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox). (2) Go to http://www.apparatus.net/download/tzmove.exe. (3) Save the file to your desktop when prompted. (4) Close all open applications. (5) Double-click tzmove.exe. (6) Agree to Microsoft license terms when prompted. (7) Select the appropriate profile (note: make sure you select the profile for your Apparatus Business Class Email & Calendaring account). (8) Verify Update to reflect changes to Windows timezones is checked. (9) Click OK. (10) Accept defaults of each subsequent screen and click OK. (11) Verify the appoinment times are now correct for the period between 3/11 and 4/1.
Note: This will correct appointment times for all events created by you. Any meeting requests you have accepted that were created by another user will be corrected when that user runs the tool on their system.
