Configure Permissions
Your Exchange account must first be configured as an Author or Editor in
order to import data into a public folder. Follow the instructions provided in
the KB article http://www.apparatus.net/support/help/questions/13.
Import Data
Now that you are set up with appropriate permissions you’ll be able to
import data to the public folder. The following steps assume that you’ve
already created an export of your data and are ready to import it.
- Open
Outlook on your PC and login to your Exchange account.
- Using
the left navigation, browse to the public folder to which you would like
to import data and click to select it.
- Go to File>Import and Export…
- Choose
Import from another program or file
and click Next.
- Choose
Personal Folder File (.pst) and
click Next.
- Browse
and locate the .pst file you would like to import, leave Replace duplicates with items imported
selected, and click Next.
- Browse
and locate the data you would like to import and then click to select it.

- Choose
Import items into the current
folder and leave all other defaults chosen/selected (i.e., Include
subfolders checked) and click Finish.
